People are hailing him as a hero. These people are idiots. I’ll tell you why. We all love quitting stories, we all imagine quitting in the most dramatic fashion, letting our employees know how much they fail and just getting that power back, I get it, but what Slater fails to do is get his point across. If he really did get hit by a passenger who was being a disrespectful prick then you teach that prick a lesson SO good that the waves of justice resonate to all other pricks like the butterfly effect. Had it been me I would have added this passengers bag to the list of crimes, I would have taken that bag, ran off with it and dumped it right in the water, then pissed on it on live TV with my middle fingers up. THAT’S how you let the pricks of the world know that their crap attitude will not be tolerated.

Fury Pisses on a passengers bag
Nice try Slater, twas a noble effort it really was but next time think before you act out. If you’re gonna go out in a blaze of glory ALWAYS take out the bad guys with you.
I have my own quitting story. It was when I was working for T-Mobile. I hated this job with a passion. I was actually getting sick from working with them. The stupid uneducated hick customers in this area would drive me crazy and gave me hypertension and high blood pressure. I was getting into arguments all the time with these moronic individuals who were either illegal aliens or aliens who refused to learn English. As a culture they have the bad habit of getting too personal and I tried to be professional, I really did.
Top that my lesbian man hating boss hated me, I reminded her of her ex and the reason she went gay. She would schedule the worst hours, nights, weekends and never 2 days off in a row. When confronting her about it she would just pull that whole “I’m the boss and that’s how it goes” bulls**t. I wanted to get fired so I could collect unemployment but they wouldn’t fire me. Just sit me down and give me these long speeches about performance and warnings.
Eventually I found another job and I was told I had to start in a few days. I didn’t think about giving my 2 week notice, this job would give me a steady schedule, twice the pay ,vacation time and medical. The choice was easy and I finally got my power back. I finished my day smiling knowing it was the end. The next day I didn’t show up. I didn’t call, I didn’t do anything. Some might call this irresponsible but there’s a reason behind my actions. The boss ran a skeleton crew, only 2 people at a time on duty . So if one person called out you had to make up that time later that week to cover the person who covered you. If someone didn’t show up last minute the boss had to drive all the way to the job and cover the shift. If someone like me quit last minute then my boss would be forced to not only work her hours but mine too and since she dumped all the hours nobody wanted on me that meant her ass would have to work nights and weekends. Basically I was screwing her over and this is what I did.
I disappeared and as I sat there with my beer watching my cell phone buzz as she tried to reach me with voice messages and texts gave me a warm feeling in my stomach. Knowing that she was suffering, annoyed, aggravated and just overall going nuts made me smile. I eventually called her and told her I quit since she couldn’t figure it out. She said she wanted it in writing. I laughed and told her not to call me anymore. Very satisfying…
