GOTOBUS SUCKS!


I am an advocate for free speech, I believe when something sucks you have the right to say it sucks and warn other people, hence why I am a film critic. Recently I went on a 2 day trip to Niagra Falls and I used a tour bus company called GOTOBUS. After our experience I decided to write a review. Needless to say my review got ignored. No wonder all the reviews on the site were positive! they choose which ones get posted!

So,since Gotobus decided not to print out my review I decided to print it out on here, my all powerful blog that speaks to the people. So without further a DON'T, here is my review for GOTOBUS.

An affordable bus tour to Niagra falls? Sounds too good to be true! And it was. While Niagra Falls is a beautiful place to visit (they seriously need to fix up that area and make better food) it was the lack of communication regarding our itinerary that ruined this trip. We were carted around like cattle unaware of what would be happening next. The biggest problem came after our time spent in Niagra Falls and we were told our hotel was 2 hours away. Some genius named Mark (we overheard them say his name) failed to realize that after 8 hours in a bus and a few hours at Niagra Falls that people wouldn’t be ok arriving at their hotel at 12:00am!

Another frustrating aspect of this tour involved us being carted to All you can eat Buffets that they stop for lunch. If you don’t want that you can eat something else that’s walking distance but be quick, they only give you 30 min or so to eat. Our trip to the Thousand Islands proved a complete waste of time when all we did was get on the boat tour and then RIGHT back on the bus so we can go an hour away just to go to another all you can eat buffet. Would it not make more sense to let people walk around the area, check out the stores and eat around there? No, carted once again to another all you can eat buffet most likely to fatten us up for the slaughter.

The bus we were issued did not have a working bathroom. We were told it was for emergencies but when we finally had to use the tour guides didn’t want to open the door rather we had to make another stop delaying our trip even more so. The movies selected for the trip ranged from ok to completely inappropriate considering there were small children in the bus. Is it so hard to get some movies screened before the trip?

Look, Niagra falls is absolutely beautiful, that’s a given. They take you there for a cheap price but if there is ANY other way you can go I strongly suggest you do it yourself. Maybe the longer tour’s fare better but the complete lack of knowing the itinerary or the hotel we were staying in makes this the last time I book something this way. The tour guides we had were very friendly though I must say that.

Now I get to use the wonderful tags Blogger provides and google will do the rest.Whenever someone runs a search for GOTOBUS review my little blog will come up. The people have a right to know all aspects of what they're paying money for. Isn't the internet great?

  1. I took GoToBus down to NYC. It was awful. Never taking this group again. How sketchy it this, so I bout my Tickets online when I received the confirmation email the times and destinations were wrong. So i went into their reschedule feature, well they charge you to reschedule something their sit screwed up on, so what ever I did it. Next confirmation email, place is still wrong. (No, I was not hitting the wrong buttons). So I had to go in and reschedule again, and get this if you have to reschedule a second time they charge you twice as much as the first time and on the third time they'll charge even more. So fine whatever, so get there to get on the bus, well where they had us park the car they charge and the web sit said nothing about having to provide our own parking. You think they would have you leave it at their garage station or a public parking, no they make you leave it at a crappy a$$ Asian Supermarket. And get this, on the way home there were way too many tickets sold because the ghetto people who ran the bus group sell ticket tokens that allow the person who has one to ride the bus any time and from any destination for one flat rate cheaper than what I eventually payed. WTF. Fine if you guys only want your ghetto a$$ people riding I'll be happy to spend the extra couple dollars to have better customer service. I did eventually email the group this is what they had to say for themselves, [ Thank you for your inquiry. please call us back to reschedule for you at 617-354-2101, but we will charge handling fees for reschedule. thanks.

  2. I am currently waiting in the cold after their bus is, so far nearly 2 hours late. This company is a joke!
